Education House Language School respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and what rights you have under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

What we collect

When you use the contact or free assessment forms, we collect the details you give us:

• your name and phone number
• your LINE ID and email address, if you provide them
• the programme you are interested in
• a child’s age, if the enquiry is for a child
• any message you write

We never ask for a national ID number.

Why we use it

We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange an assessment or trial class, and recommend a suitable course. You give your consent when you tick the box on the form. [Confirm the legal basis for each use]

Information about children

Enquiries about children should be made by a parent or guardian. We ask only for a child’s age at this stage.

Where it goes and who can see it

Form messages are sent by email to the school’s inbox and are not stored in the website’s database. Only school staff who handle enquiries can see them. [Confirm who has access and which email provider is used] We do not sell your personal data.

Buying the online English test

When you buy the test on this website, we collect:

• the buyer’s name, phone number and email address;
• the test taker’s name in English and, if given, in Thai;
• the test taker’s age group;
• the order details and the time you accepted our terms.

If you buy two or more tests, each test taker enters their own name and age group the first time they log in, and accepts our terms at that point.

We use these details to process your order, create the test login and send it to you by email, issue the result and certificate, and deal with refunds and problems. We need them to provide the test you have bought. [Confirm the legal basis for each use]

If the test taker is under 20, a parent or guardian should make the purchase.

Payment: you enter your card or payment details on the payment page of 2C2P, our payment provider. We do not see or store your card number. 2C2P receives the details it needs to process the payment and has its own privacy policy.

Where it is stored: order details are kept in the shop on this website, which runs on our web host and may be outside Thailand. [Confirm the location of the web host’s servers] The buyer’s contact details and the test taker’s name and age group are also sent to Education House’s own server in Thailand to create the test login. Only school staff who handle orders and tests can see them. We do not sell your personal data.

Other services on this website

• Google Maps: pages with our map load it from Google, which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies.

Cookies

This website sets a cookie called pll_language to remember your language, which lasts one year. The shop and checkout pages also use cookies to keep your order while you check out. [Update this section if analytics or advertising tools are added]

The online English test

Results from the CEFR English Proficiency Test at cefr.eh.ac.th are stored on Education House’s own server in Thailand. We never ask for a national ID number. During the test, the system also records events such as leaving the test screen. Speaking recordings are deleted after about one year.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask to see your data, receive a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee. To use these rights, contact [email protected].
